Thought this might be of interest to fellow photo-geeks. Rick Smolan who is the creator of the best-selling Day in the Life book series, among other very cool books is starting a new project called America 24/7 and is enlisting the help of amateur as well as professional photographers to submit photos that explore the issue of what it means to be an "American." (not really so easy I guess in this day and age) You can participate by submitting a digital photo to his website here...yes, it is too bad our little hiptop pics won't be big enough although I think America 24/7 is already starting to happen over here :) Anyways, just thought I would let you know.

The shoot week begins at 12:01 am on Monday May 12th and ends at midnight on Sunday May 18th.

I used to love mornings on the train...I always had a thermos of something hot to drink and a magazine...and I had train buddies! people I'd see every so often and chat with on my daily ride....all those grumpy people in their cars battling traffic on the highways don't know what they're missing!

Good news for tea drinkers!

10 cups of tea a day is a little much (I would have to pee every hour!) but this is still good news to me since I always keep a teapot by my desk and drink about 4-5 cups a day, more out of habit than anything else since I grew up drinking the stuff...my favorite being the standard Genmaicha (brown rice green tea).
