![]() ![]() ![]() Well, it's too nasty outside (76 degrees and what seems like 100% humidity,) so we are inside watching football. The Bills are getting 0wn3d by the Patriots. Funny thing is that there is supposed to be a front coming thru tomorrow that will bring temps down to the mid thirties. Whay can't that be today? Michael (wireless) IM: mwsmith70 |
| My Petromax lantern Fri 12.26.03 12:33pm PST #7733 |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Since we are camping in the winter, and the sun goes down earlier, I take a lantern with me. The lantern I have is a 1960 NATO issue Petromax lantern. I bought it two years ago on ebay, direct from Germany. It was unused, and was like opening a time capsule. These lanterns are extremely powerful, putting off as much light as 4 coleman lanterns...roughly equivalent to a 400 watt light bulb. The also run on just about any liquid fuel available. I have run mine on coleman fuel, gasoline, kerosene, diesel and citronella oil. Truly a great lantern! Michael (wireless) IM: mwsmith70 |
