On my way to pick up the wife at the hospital, I took the ONLY "Brititsh-style" cab in NYC. The cabbies, James, had it imported from London- and this cab is sweet! V6 turbodeisel that gets 35 MPG (city), and turns heads wherever it goes. Cars, buses, pedestrians, and even other cabbies were commenting to us whenever we stopped. It has a sound-amplification module that allows for shout-free communication between driver and passenger...Worth it just for the experience alone =)

These novelty Tees and Caps made the entire registry trip worthwhile for me. Out of the many that were displayed, these were my favorites... God willing, my kid's gonna look hawt... =P

The playpen my wife scanned has a music feature, which has pre-programmed songs and nature sounds to soothe the baby. Bonus find: it even has MP3 input... I'll make a geek out of my unborn child yet! W00t!

Designer Purses for milady? NOPE! These are designer diaper bags we encountered while doing our baby registry at Babies R US... These things look like they could hold a pamper or two at most, but there's tons of pockets for cellphones, wallets, keys, etc...

Got played by the system. MTA workers went on strike, basically crushing NYC's economy today... I was able to catch my Metro North train, but had to walk a mile and a half to get to work from Grand Central station. What's worse, I'm running a store at 1/4 capacity as 3/4's of my staff were stranded by the strike... I support the strike, as these workers definitely deserve their money. It just blows that we all have to suffer for them...
