This costume store was promoting Halloween sales so two of it's employees dressed up as Dubya and The Pulse, and duked it out on the street...Thanks to Abracadabra for the photo op, and big thanks to mikepop for allowing us the venue to share... I've discovered that the SK2 takes dramatically better screenshots than it's predecessor. The interminable wait for the LM to correct itself on reg. shots is what's most frustrating. Takes the fun out of "capturing the moment." Snapped these while watching "Fom Dusk 'Til Dawn" last night (God bless you, Salma)...
It's so hard, to say goodbye...

Wow, sending my old SKC back is harder than I thought...I purposely passed like 10 mailboxes and could not bring myself to do it yet. Sadly, I'm half tempted to reneg on the deal and pay the extra hundred, it's only double what I originally paid for it. Knowing me, I'd leave it in a cabinet somewhere and forget it later on.... Still, the memories of the first time I dropped it down a flight and a half of stairs (kept bouncing just perfectly off the walls, notice also that I said "first" time), the silly photos, the un-silly way I seemed to be slightly addicted to it, they bring a minor lump to the throat. I would like us all to take a moment to say goodbye to a friend, a companion. It's not being sent away in the heat of anger and frustration (like when the backlight blew out). Rather, I'd like to think that it's going to a better place. Some poor soul out there on a waitlist for the SKC will finally get their backorder prayers answered as my old unit gets buffed and shipped right back out. Farewell, 'ol buddy...
IT'S ABOUT TIME...

SK2 finally came in the mail. I totally agree with "direct2mark" on his previous post. I guess my expectations may have been a little high, but I was still left wanting just a little more. The button reconfig is as much a pain in the ass as it is helpful. This is the only QWERTY board i've ever used where colon and semi-colon were in the center. The symbol key is a nice touch for accents. The flipscreen does seem a little weak. I'm very afraid of poppin' this bad boy off at some point. Camera wise, guess which one I took on the old SKC, with the other 3 done on the SK2? Every image seems very pixelated...OVERLY pixelated actually. The flash limits me to pretty much the same restrictions as my old SKC. Even with the flash, everything seems a little darker now. Well, off to learn more tricks...hopefully there will be other features to improve my outlook on this. My fiancé thinks it's a very cute upgrade, but we know better. All in all, I give the SK2 a B-, because the potential is so tremendous. I totally agree with Mike Lee when he says we're not even using this platform to it's fullest capabilites... Grand Central Poolin'
Walking in from work, and the "World Championship of Pool" was hittin' the dregs @ Grand Central. ESPN was televising the event, but the crowd had seriously thinned out by this point. I like the quotes from Boris et al... Keep up the good work. My quote means (loosely): "Every man makes mistakes, only a fool makes the same one twice"... they even had to send an email....

Thanks to the mental midgets @ Valvoline (DO NOT EVER GO TO THE ONE ON BOSTON POST RD. IN THE BRONX), the wrong oil filter was placed on our Blazer. VERY long story short, we drive up 280+ miles to Syracuse bleeding all our oil out! On the way back, the engine-as it is wont to do without oil-siezes and blows up on us outside of Deposit NY. Where's Deposit, you may ask? EXACTLY. Podunk Hicktown is way too generous a phrase to describe the horror we endured on the overnight there (not too fond of my genetic makeup, 'nuff said). Conveniently, the guy who owns the towing service "Wheeler's" also owns the town garage, and the trailer park right next door...Then it's local Shortline Bus hell for 5 hours and 3 different buses before we hit NYC again. NEVER was I so happy to smell smog and urine again... "Cuiusvis hominis est errare; nullius nisi insipientis in errore perseverare." -Cicero

My first time back in eight years (since I graduated) My college (Arts & Sciences) and various Halls. The tall tower was my dorm when I was a frosh (Lawrinson Hall). Carnegie Hall holds the statue of the Salt Warrior, Syracuse's original mascot untill the Onondaga Nation Indians protested. Thus we settled for Otto the Orange. Pics of the Quad, Carrier Dome, and yours truly in my old school para from Manny's...awwww the memories....
