I'm not Catholic. I consider myself as definitely having God in my life, but not the business of religion (if that makes any sense)... But I can't help but mourn and pray for one of the last symbols of hope and true faith on the planet. Sure he was controversial, had hard stances on marriage, pregnancy, and celibacy for Catholics, but he was as close to a pure spirit as we've had in our lifetimes. He's right up there with MLK, Mother Theresa, and Ghandi in my book. Some caps of the announcement of his passing, reactions, and his viewing in the Apostalic Apartments... RIP Pope John Paul II

My Goddaughter picks me up from work today. She was all wound up because she spent the day shopping w/ my fiancé at the mall. She apparently rode

on a dinosaur ride and has spent the past 45 minutes shouting "DINOSAUR" to any and everyone she's met... My girl happened to get some pics on her phone, and now Alexis won't give up the phone!

Heading into work, another dreary day. After a week of jacket weather, it's back to coat weather...I despise when that happens. By the way, thanx for all your responses. I decided on the dark gray suit for my wedding. Now officially 3 weeks away!

Since we had so much wedding drama today, we thought we'd go and treat ourselves to some mexican food. Where can one find quality Chicano-style fixin's near Bronxville, NY? Why, the Wild Cactus Cafe of course! Food was very good, and it made up for a horror-show quality morning thanks to our supposed wedding coordinators in Los Cabos...

Went to get a copy of my birth certificate down in Manhattan and passed by Ground Zero. Just looking at the site again brings back some powerful emotions... Being a former stockbroker, I had many close ties to the area as well as friends lost in the tragedy. The area is still walled off from the public, but it's nice to see that the street hustlers are still making brisk business with the tourists. They sell photos, historical background pamphlets, and keychains... This one skell wanted to charge me a dollar to take his photo. After telling him where to shove that dollar, I walked away. It's sickening, these vultures... But people gotta eat too, I guess...

How can this crap be so cheap? How can they pay these poor employees what they pay them? And despite it all, I still bought from there... I'm a tool, and a cheap tool at that...
