One of the escalators got broken during my shift today. Customer was not paying attention during the ride and gets the front on her sneaker caught at the top. Chunk o' sneaker gets caught in the gears as well as a chunk of the escaltor itself...

Reason this happened: she was reading "Snakes on a Plane" during her trip up...

10 pages of documentation later, I finally get to chuckle over this... Mr. Verse .:: NYC ::.

For any of you that have kids out there, you know how traumatizing this event is for both baby and parents... Mercifully, this was done by the über-cool Dr. Monte (check out his B-Boy pose below). She got her

DTAP (Whooping Cough, Tetanus, Diptheria) and Hepatitis shots this visit. She took her first shot like a champ, with minor crying that was quickly consoled. The second shot was the doozy, 'tho. That produced the dreaded "soundless cry"- a scream so intense that the baby didn't breath for 10 seconds... in total silence. The subsequent wails were full body rockers that left her flushed from head to toe... Took about 10 minutes to calm her down from that one... On a brighter note, she was 8lbs and 21½ inches during her last Doctor's

visit. This vist, she weighed 12lbs and was 23½ inches long! This greatly outpaces the 1lb a month rate that's normally expected of newbies. Scary that she's only a month and a half old, and only being fed breastmilk, no formula at all... She'll either end up as a runway model, or the WNBA at this rate (",)

...especially the new ones like my man schultzy. I awoke to my daughter paitiently waiting on the couch with a couple of balloons in tow... And Mommy's in the kitchen making me a Father's day breakfast... Does it get any better than this?

My daughter has kept me up most nights since she was born... But one look at a face like that, and all the bad goes away. It's hard to believe she's already 1 month old... Missed all you guys. I see a couple of new faces, the more the merrier...

Couple hours later, our masterpiece is done... Only using a map and tounge-depressors, we threw this beauty up in no time. We covered up the flaws with the "extra leaves," and voila! My arms will be feelin' it tomorrow, but it definitely was well worth it...

The room is finally coming together. Schwag from the baby shower definitely helped! Sadly, only 1/2 of what we got is featured in these pics. The butterfly chandelier went up, and really brought some heart to the room. Next up is the tacking-on of more butterflies on the walls...

Spent the day painting my child's room. The original color of the room was mint green, but we re-did it in a "potpurri green" which made our original mint look like grey. It'll better match the accessories we have... Then I set up the crib, and now have to attach the myriad of butterflies... I could be metting up with MikePop, Arepem, et al in the city right now, but my baby's room is taking up all my attention. Sorry guys, have fun for me! .:: Mr. Verse ::.
