A miniature train runs through Zilker park in Austin. We're going to try to spend most of the day downtown walking around and seeing the sites we missed last year.

Our church has been collecting items to take to Mississippi to the hard hit areas there. Last Monday they took 2 20+ foot trucks FULL of supplies. Now we are preparing to fill up another truck to take next week. Everything needs to be organized as well as possible before we go, so you can see 5 boxes of shampoo, a big box of peanut butter and jelly, and one wall that has most of the food supplies. My lovely wife donated some of her favorite stuffed animals to give to the kids.

We stopped in Moore, OK to spend a litle time with Carolyn's friends. They took us to a place in Norman, OK for Pizza. It was awesome. 10 different toppings on one large pizza.

For my birthday dinner this year I invited people to join me at Texas de Brazil, where they are currently running a special where you get the full salad bar and Churrascaria buffet (roaming gauchos with skewers of meat) and key lime pie for dessert, all for $30 per person. With tax and tip, it came to a little more, but still a lot cheaper than the normal dinner price. We had a great turn out, 18 in total. Special thanks to Josh for the toast, and special thanks to everyone else for agreeing with the nice words.

AKA My Birthday. Carolyn decorated the apartment, I took party favors to work on Friday, we went to lunch at Freebirds and then got ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery. Then on Saturday I went to Fry's and picked out some gifts for myself with money I got, and Carolyn gave me her presents, 3 ThinkGeek t-shirts. I will wear the "I'm Blogging this" shirt with pride.
