T-Mobile/Cingular put up a new cell site in my neighborhood, in a big dead zone that includes the grocery store, library, and big public park. It took me a week to find 310170,0113,729[DEF]. It is a fake pine tree behind a business, abutting the Mitchell Park. It is slightly bluer than the other pine trees, but the big giveaway is that unlike the other trees, which are planted in the dirt, this on is growing out of a chain-link fence in the parking lot, with a diesel exhaust pipe on the side.

I went "hilltopping" with my ham radio in San Luis Obispo, CA on Terrace Hill, at 450 ft. Sadly, I made no contacts. But the scenery was pretty. WA5ZNU

When I worked at the MIT Logo laboratory, I worked for and with the people who developed Mindstorms for Lego. It's sad to see it go. I hope it has a long life as used gear.
