I went to a 30th Anniversary party for Ethernet at PARC. Here are some pictures of artifacts on dispkay: an original 3MB ethernet transceiver and an early 10MBit Ethernet transceiver, both attached to coax with Jerrold taps.

There were two events: an internal PARC/Xerox event and a separate press/invited guest event. The internal event had more nerd appeal, with old stories about 1K Ohm isolation resistors and packet type vs. Length backwards compatibility arguments in international standards committees..
GPRS Up and Down
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayMy GPRS was down because they are removing the tower! Here is the site itself up in the air on a crane. I think they are moving it down a little to the top of another building they have been putting an antenna on for weeks.

Many luminaries from both sides of the fence were were there. And just for fun, here is a Hiptop photo of Kenny (author of the camera app) riding on CEO Andy Rubin's brand new Segway. I did not get to ask Kenny "How come so dark?"
