Iceberg Dead Ahead! Thu 10.02.03 8:21pm PDT #6589 |
Haven't had time to post in the last couple of weeks; I have been putting together a 3 day shoot with the famously bizzare Josef Astor for the Post Magazine's Holiday Issue. Today we shot food on a set made up of mini icebergs created from styrofoam and a dark nordic ocean made out of garbage bags! Check out Burnt Pixels for some bigger pics. Tomorrow we get a full size bar made of ice and 3 models to shoot more of our fantasy holiday party! -keithwj- |

If you are a photo-fan, or just a someone interested in the history of 20th century art, RUN, don't walk to your closest store for today's Sunday New York Times. The magazine's cover story is on one of last century's most influential and least understood artists, Diane Arbus. Check it out in analog format or online; any way you can! --keithwj-- |

Somedays you just got to wonder. While The NY Times Magazine is full of thoughtful, timely stories as we near the 9-11 two year anniversary, my pub - The Washington Post Magazine has a cover story attempting to poke fun at the French (they refused to help us 'liberate' Iraq. A few months ago someone asked me if the purpose of the Post Magazine was to provide comic relief for the newspaper. Even though I try not let that happen most weeks, days like today make me wonder. --keithwj-- |

Ah, a long weekend to end the summer! Bah!!! A couple of good reads this weekend. In The New York Times Sunday Mag; Sophia Coppola and her Smart Mob - a profile in anticipation of her next film, due next month. In The Washington Post Magazine, a look at the baseball team we don't have in DC. Too bad you'll only be able to see the great David Deal photos in the hard copy - what's up with the website folks? --keithwj-- |
