After having, uh, broken my old glasses, I took the pieces to the local optician's and they let me have a new pair, free. Warranties rool. Thusly, I picked out a new pair of swanky grey and green emo-ish frames -- an hour and a half later, I walked out the door wearing my cool new specs.

Nicki came up for the day and we went to the local zoo/preserve to see the animals and park. We saw cyprus trees and white tigers and panthers and deer and snakes and aligators and stuff. Fun.

I *finally* got my bar-end mirrors -- they only took 4 months. 20 minutes of work and they're screwed on and the stock mirrors off! Oh so cool.

It's a dark and stormy mid-day in northwest Florida. The lightening struck close and the power is out -- 2 of our 3 UPSs have sputtered and died. And I trudge on, fearlessly into the dark, to.... reinstall Windows on a laptop. Wee.
