A few pics from the home expo: we got a dancing chicken (courtesy of NASA), people in massaging chairs, a faucet in the sky, a neat re-strapped patio chair, a robotic embroidery machine, some product demos, and that speck on the highly-lit stage is Laurie Smith from Trading Spaces (I swear!). Now it's time to get her autograph, and to score free shit.

Went to the Burt Reynolds Museum in Jupiter, FL. It was very cool (and free!). Soooooooo much memorabilia! Of course, we had to get some souvenirs, so Nicki bought us t-shirts and postcards. We are sooooo cool.

Nicki and I are watching her younger sister's soccer game, since her mom had an emergency or sommat. It's such a beautiful morning, cloud-shaped clouds in the sky, an ocean breeze carrying the scent of the sea flowing across the fields, and it's a wonderful 79 degrees here. Nicki caught this cute little lizard, who, after I took the jpgs and held it, bit my finger. Cute. Later, we're going to the home expo in West Palm Beach to meet Laurie Smith from Trading Spaces! Huzzah!

Okay, backlog of posts to make up.... Nicki and I eating at On the Border, filling our bellies on free chips and salsa and cheap (but oh so satisfying!) Tortilla Soup. Total cost of dinner, <$8. Happiness and a full belly? Priceless.

So, to celebrate my no longer workingness for the manness, I decided to dye my hair - a very punk-rawk, "stick it to the man"-sorta thang. Purple was the order of the day, but I didn't have much left, so I mixed it half purple, half blue with a touch of pink. Apply to hair, wait a bit, wash out - except I seem to have applied too much dye. Took a good 15 minutes for the water to even BEGIN to run clean. My whole body is purple, including my hands, toes, back, neck, ears, legs, and belly button. The bath itself didn't fare much better.

I got my new motorcycle helmet today, 3 days after I ordered it. It is sexy and head-protecty. Also, Nicki and I went to Home Depot to get some wood for an art project of Nicki's, and I saw a real-life version of Tetris being reenacted by cinderblocks. Rokk!
