Went to the Mary Brogan Museum of Art to check out the travelling Smithsonian photo exhibit. There were great photos by Hine, Arbus, Lange, Man Ray, and surprisingly, one of my professors, George Blakely. That was neat. I also saw two dead bugs, one poor cockroach being devoured by ants, and a dragonfly on its last leg of life, stuck in the car park. And a fountain! Pretty.

W00t. I won my first radio contest ever today, winning two day passes to CreatureFest in Wakulla Springs. They're screening "Creature from the Black Lagoon" and "Bride of the Monster" outdoors on their portable screen, and we get to meet the Creature and other folk, because it was filmed in Wakulla. Yay! I also saw a funky sign for a seatbelt study. Nice to know that state funds are being used for that.....

I attended the SPESE conference today in Winter Park, FL. It was a beautiful day, and while the conference was smaller than I expected, though there were some good seminars, I met a lot of interesting folk, and I got a lot of good response to my portfolio. My ego has grown immensely! Spent some great social time with some of my photobuddies, too. Photo kidz r teh k00lest!

My girlfriend finished her comic painting. 3 panels, entitled "Queer Eye for the Right Wing". It's 3' tall and 7' long... Donno how she's gonna get it to class tomorrow ;)

My loverly and talented girlfriend is working on an art project. She's creating an oversized comic, featuring the gay wedding of Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein, George W., and the folks from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Go fig.

I wanted to cook Nicki something good to celebrate our stoopid roomate moving out. It seems, however, that I haven't cleaned up the kitchen in a while, so I'm frying up some frozen kebabs. Beer, too. Though I don't suppose I'm frying that.
