Starbux man is brazen!
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayWow! In a true act of defiance, he,s now unfolding the centerfolds and holding them up to get a good look. As well he keeps laughing at the magazine, I'm sure some witty article. The sbux is slow, but I don't think this guy would care. His back is to the drink pick up area, so he's holding them up for anyone standing there to see also. How will this adventure end?

So I'm downtown seattle right now waiting for kim in a starbucks... I look over at this guy as I'm waiting for my mocha and notice he's got about 8 Penthouse magazines on his table that he's working thru. At least he's a brave pervert. And hunching over them best as possible as to hide what he's up to. Maybe he should turn them over that might help. Right now some asian kids are eyeballing his shenanigans.

There's a breakfast food craze at my new job. 2 of my direct reports, one peer, and my boss all have cereal/oatmeal in their desk, and get their breakfast on at work. Such is the trend of the 2000's I'm sure with longer commutes, I know I have zero time to eat at home, especially in the morning. So I joined the masses, and brought in some cereal AND oatmeal. The free milk at work helps facilitate the breakfast craze. I also bribe people with candy, and keep a constant supply of treats available for anyone to enjoy. A small cost to me to make me seem like the coolest boss ever.

What a wild weekend for otherwise normally tame people. The overall story is Kim had continuing education classes downtown seattle all day saturday and sunday. I drove her down, and spent the better part of my free time at UW doing homework. I also got to relive my downtown work days by walking around the old hood. During the day saturday I kicked around the idea of going to Slave to the Needles newer, 2nd shop. They are ranked the best tattoo shop in all of Seattle for 5 or 6 years now. But i resisted, knowing I would succumb to an impulse tattoo when I'd rather plan them out more going forward. After class Kim said though she wanted to go, and having already been on my mind, it didn't take much arm twisting. We went, and unfortunately they were booked up for the evening. We set an appointment for the following day, 7pm instead. We then went across the street to an Thai restaurant that was terrific. Sunday studying got boring, so in the afternoon is when i did my Seattle walk. I then at 3pm went to the massage place for a 1 hour clinic where they practice everything they've learned so far. It was a little hokey for me, but none the less. Then from 4-5:30 I parked infront of a Holiday Inn, sat in my car, and surfed the net using the free wireless internet the hotel provides. We then went to the tattoo shop area. Being early, we decided to eat pizza. That went fast, so we went back to the Thai place and split one entree. Now it was almost 7pm. The original plan was to get a moderately sized tattoo, Day of the Dead style (mexican halloween type of holiday) skull on her ankle. The appointment was booked for 2 hours, 7pm-9pm. Well thinks worked out great in the end, but it ended up being a 7pm to midnight stay at the tattoo parlor. First, the artist had to draw up an original design. That took a good hour and a half. Once the tattoo began it was a mere 3.25 hours until completion. The drawing was great, the artist did a nice job on it. The pictures don't do it justice, it's very shaded and detailed, the crappy Sidekick camera sucks. All in all a smashing success, although a long night. Long for the artist as well, as the shop closed at 11pm, and his wife had come to pick him up and had to wait around until after midnight. He did not rush though, as he did very precise details on it in that last hour, when I would have been tempted to rush it and get out of there. It was the guys 40th birthday also none the less. Monday at work was no picnic running on 5 hours sleep, I think I'm still recouping from all the late nights and restaurant eating this weekend.

Some valuable lessons were learned today. 1. Spending 5 mins every day brushing our cat out is a hell of a lot easier than spending 2 hours trying to shave all her fur off cause of mats and clumps. 2. Kittens have very VERY sharp claws and teeth and don't enjoy being shaved down. 3. Persian cats have enough hair on them that it looks like another cat is sitting there when you take the shavings and put them in a pile. 4. 2 mins spent putting some blankets down would have saved 1/2 hour of clean up.

I dare not put a picture of the cat up as she looks not her best... but hairclump free if I do say so myself.

Free milk too
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayI just found out that along with the free pop, juice, and bottled water, there is also free milk & chocolate milk in the fridge where I work. Free chocolate milk... I think I just found my Starbucks replacement I've been looking for.

Decided to try my hand at making beef teriyaki myself...it looks good but I'm not sure if I'll become a chef. Also bought wine inspired by my brothers xmas wine enthusiasm. And to top it off I thought I'd start planning a study attack fpr the CPA exam. All this and MotoGP 3 for Xbox Live came today... I need to get going!
