![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() At the Ag Hall of Fame in Bonner Springs KS (outside Kansas City) for an employee picnic for the co where I used to work. This place is actually pretty cool. The picnic ended with a fantastic fireworks show for the 45th anniversary of the company. The National Poultry Museum will be here in the future, according to the sign beneath a big chicken statue. In the meantime you have 300 anvils in a 4th generation blacksmith shop and the farming museum (plus some other stuff I don't know much about). There's a great harvest moon on our way home tonight. --heidi |

Is peace gray? Fri 05.02.03 1:18pm PDT #4443 |
![]() ![]() Hello from the City of Roses on another beautifully sunny day. The Peace Plaza in Portland was "dedicated by the Portland City Council to the cause of peace." Wouldn't peace be cheerier than gray slabs? I would think that peace would be festooned in many colors and lively, not as somber as war. (The rose is not in the Peace Plaza.) --heidi |
