Patience....
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayPatience... is still not one of my better attributes. I completed all of the paperwork needed for CSC to get the new 1.5Ghz Powerbook G4 with 128MB vram. Ossama will be getting my 1.25Ghz Powerbook G4 with 64MB vram. Now we just wait... CSC tells me it may be up to two weeks for the paperwork to be entered into payroll.

myriadian asked me "why are you so impatient? It's not like it's a new liver!" ...well, it's a 1.5Ghz G4, with 128MB vram, and 1GB of DDR ram... so if it were a new liver, it would be one with incredible alcohol processing abilities! One that could let you drink a pony keg of Budweiser, a couple pints of Jim Bean, and not have you feel any worse the wear in the morning!

Yeah... I can't wait...

Serena Williams, Venus Williams,... Ken Foreman?!

...Naaaaa, ain't gunna happen.
Several co-workers and I are playing tennis at a nearby high school's courts immediately after work today. Considering I haven't played in nearly two years, it should be a pretty funny game to watch.
Guess what? It's *still* warm outside, soooo....

It Never Grows Old
Days like today are when I truly love owning a Jeep. It was in the low 70's when I left the house this morning. It was cool, not-too-humid. Traffic on Route 28 South was a breeze. I had the top down and listened to Hoobastank & Eamon during the ride in...

(Sorry for the "photo diarrheia" *again* ...but it never grows old for me. icon)

The Next Generation PowerBook! With the help of CSC and a co-worker yesterday, I am upgrading from G4/15.2"/1.25Ghz/1GB DDR/ATI Radeon 9600/64MB VRAM to a G4/15.2"/1.5Ghz/1GB DDR/ATI Radeon 9700/128MB VRAM Powerbook.

Double the video memory, faster ATI Radeon chipset, and a 1.5Ghz G4 processor! Here's the specs on my new Powerbook:

Product Name: PowerBook 1.5GHz (15.2" TFT) Options: 065-5069 1.5GHz PowerPC G4 with 128MB Graphics Memory 065-4860 1GB DDR333 SDRAM - 2x512 SO-DIMMs 065-5068 80GB Ultra ATA drive @ 5400 rpm 065-4825 SuperDrive (DVD-R/CD-RW) 065-4820 AirPort Extreme Card 065-4819 Backlit Keyboard/Mac OS - U.S. English

Hopefully I know today or tomorrow when I'm approved to order my new PowerBook. Between CSC and my co-workers, I love working here. :D
Novell Netware for OSX?!

My poor Powerbook... first WindowsXP under Virtual PC (VPC) 6, and now Novell NetWare for OSX.

I'm not using VPC nearly as much now that I can access the Novell servers directly from OSX. Aquafold Data Studio is a good replacement for Benthic Golden, IntelliJ IDEA and Dreamweaver MX have been running perfectly under OSX, so now my WindowsXP installation is for "emergency Windows apps" only. :)

Oh, and UT2K4 on OSX rocks!

Now that the days have gotten warmer, I can go "topless" in my Jeep. These are the days it's truly fun to own a Jeep.

The Diehard battery is about two years old. The alternator is about three months old. Unfortunately, I was greeted by a high-speed "clacking" this week when I tried starting it. The idiot gauge showed 10-12v, which quickly dropped to 9v (and stayed there) after trying to start it.

Doing work on the Jeep today to see if it's the battery or new alternator... Going to change the cables regardless since they're stock (7 years old now).
Myers-Brigg Urinal Test
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayTake the Myers-Brigg Urinal Test... What kind of personality are you?

Studies show that men confident of themselves or their sexuality will often take the center urinal, while insecure males will often take the sides. In short, Type B males will cower in the corners while Alpha males are content to mark their territory (or just piddle on their shoes, the floor, and neighboring males in a vain attempt to hit the toilet)

Watching Windows updates and a Borland Delphi installation on the laptop, watching FOP translation from Oracle/Java on the desktop.

Fun stuff!

I've done the horrific today. Due to my office's dependence on Lotus Notes and my ongoing development in Borland Delphi 6, I installed Windows XP on my Apple 15" Powerbook today.

My most abject apologies to the Mac community. I have soiled my powerbook...
