Some pictures of our visit to the Art Institute of Chicago. I thought it was going to be boring at first, having been to many a museum, but it turned out to be really cool. Especially seeing some of the paintings I had only seen in books up until now. Favorites were the gigantic Seurat (so much more impressive than the 2"x2" pics in books), the Tanguy and Dali paintings, and the Joseph Cornell boxes.

The weather was nice, we got up early to have breakfast with Brit's parents, so we had the whole day. We decided to go into town and to the Art Institute of Chicago. Here are some pictures of the buildings and sky as we drove around town. I still am amazed by the size of them, having come from relatively small towns (but then again almost all towns are small compared to Chicago. Hehe)

Some pictures from our Belated Britni's Birthday dinner at a nice little French restaurant in Arlignton Heights called Le Petit De Paris. Really good food. Excellent service, great presentation, and the wine was good too. Brit and I went with her parents and spent almost 4 hours having dinner. I ended up having the "Buffalo Tenderloins with a Whiskey Sauce" The pictures are from dessert. Yes, that is a piano composed of chocolate. Quite tasty. The wine glasses were kept full the whole night, so things got more and more interesting.. :) They even brought out free champagne to celebrate Britni's birthday! Now, if only I'm lucky enough to have the phones break at work tonight while they're trying to do the system upgrades...

Looks like I've got just about everything up and going. GPS is kicking in quick and is nicely embedded in MediaCar, videos are playing, several gigs of mp3s on the harddrive, including Album Covers, and the new mouse completes a nice package. Next step, hiding some of the wires a little better and then a new power supply to run straight off my battery instead of through an inverter. Sorry bout the sideways pictures, I can't rotate them since my trial expired. :(
