| Worst bank.. Ever... Fri 04.01.05 6:34pm PST #12984 |
Ok, BankOne Chase, or whatever they want to call themselves has finally done it. When I accidentally paid my rent with the wrong checking account (i.e. The one not getting direct deposit), no biggie, $30 fee, it's my fault, let's move on. When they let the apt complex try to put the electronic payment through again 3 days later, $30 (wtf?! Why did they let them try again?). Ok it was the apt complex that's responsible for trying again and the BankOne / Chase isn't responsible, whatever. Oh, but wait, those $60 charges brought my account balance into the negative, so I get an additional Over draft fee of $5. Grrr, so I drop enough money in to pay the fees and bring it back positive. Cool, things are done, I can get on with my life, a bit pissed but no biggie, its just a few bucks. And then today I get the final straw, a service fee (for my "free" checking account) for $10 and no explanation. I called up BankOne, and he explained it was a fee for allowing my balance to drop below $0 at any point in the month. This was never mentioned when I changed the account from savings to checking. *sigh* So I decide its time to cancel the account, but of course that dept is closed now. So tomorrow I get to go to the bank and close my account in person and express my frustration. If anyone has suggestions for a geek-friendly bank (online everything) that has locations/atms in IL, and the slightest bit of concern for their customer, please drop me an email @ divinity [at] navelsex.com |
| Storm time! Wed 03.30.05 5:10pm PST #12966 |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() First spring rainstorm of the year! Complete with tornado watch. Drove "through" a full double rainbow on the way home from work. It was almost surreal as the sky was clear enough in the west for the sun to shine bright, and a dark dark grey in the east with the thunderstorm. Included in one of the pics is the guy talking on the phone who pointed (yes pointed) out the rainbow to the person on the phone. |

| Pictures of Britni's parent's elevator Fri 03.25.05 8:44pm PST #12922 |
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() At brit's parent's house for Easter weekend. One of the perks of buying an old retirement home is the included elevator for three of the floors. One of the downsides is the industrial style of building that blocks any hint of a cell signal. So the sidekick will be left by the window in the hopes it gets enough of a signal to send over the night. |
