Thanks to a coworker finding konfabulator, my desktop is now pimped out with all sorts of widgets to tell me the weather, my cpu and memory states, news, and even a useless fish that swims around my desktop. And thanks to chu, I have a new screensaver.

Headed up to Hangouts in Wheeling, IL for a BBQ and cd release party with the bands from DFT Records. Even after watching the Killer Tissue box episode of Mythbusters I'm still not heeding their advice by transporting my grill in the backseat unsecured.

Today the world lost a good man, an excellent role model, a loving husband, a wonderful father, and an incredible grandfather. He touched too many lives to count, protected our country, cooked an incredible ziti, made unforgettable salads, and made everyone smile. While he was small in stature, he still had an enourmous heart and incredibly quick wit. After a full life of more than 86 years, he unselfishly held on until everyone had a chance to say their goodbyes. The amount of love present for this man was amazing. Thank you for everything Poppy Mac.
