I think I got this caltrain buses thing figured out for the most part. I'm gonna need to adjust my schedule so I can make the 6:10 train home since it gets me home significantly earlier than the 6:55. Its weird, I feel like one of those grownups riding the train to work that I always saw when we went on vacation to a big city when I was a kid. It's kind of weird to think that I'll be getting to the city after 10pm eastern time. I already seem to have adjusted to Pacific time even though I totally messed with my sleep schedule this weekend. Mouse on Mars on friday, a Hookahdome party on Saturday until 6am, and the NIMBY fire jam last night that kept us up past 1am. Sorry CST, I think I'm going to have to defect.

My first morning commute to the new office. Rubin was nice enough to drop me off at the Caltrain station this morning. I missed the first train by minutes, but grabbed the next one at 8:44am. A nice pleasant hour or so on the train and I hopped off at the Santa Clara stop. Transit511 had told me to grab the #10 bus from there, so I hopped on board. We started heading the right way, but turned off too early and headed into the Santa Clara airport parking lot. A bit of confusion asking other passengers for help, then the bus driver. I decided just to walk from where I was since it wasn't too far. A pleasant 10minute walk in gorgeous weather and short sleeves. Got into the office, got the tour, my computer, and now I'm setup (for the most part).

Next adventure... getting home. Oh, and while I was on the train I got a call from the landlord of my new place to let me know it was mine! As of thursday morning I will have a residence in San Francisco.

In true San Francisco fashion I pulled another, plane lands, drop off bags, and go out. This time it was with Rubin. We headed to The Independent just in time to meet up with Reed and catch Mouse on Mars go on. The show was a bit harder than we expected, but still had its good moments.

Flying out of the familiar O'Hare onto L.A. where ill grab a connecting flight to SF. Larry Seckler is our first captain, says it should be a nice flight with only a few bumps. Flight time: 3hr 47min. Fun times. I have a bag full of electronics and a book to keep me busy. Uh oh, it's that time to turn off electronics. Next post, California.

Today was my last day working in this office. A bit sad as I was kind of leaving, although not leaving the company or team. I'm in the car now, headed to OHare to catch a flight to LA and the hop over to OAK. The chaotic tornado has begun...

Had to do the last morning commute here in the Chicago suburbs. It's a chilly 25 degress out, and way too early.

I basically ran out of boxes for packing last night, so at work they went out and bought new monitors so I could get some boxes to pack the rest of my stuff in. Whew... saved at the last minute.
