Does anyone have a copy of the amazom $100 rebate form from December? I finally went to fill it out (I'm all about procrastination) and there isn't a sidekick checkbox on it. If you have a copy of the right one, please email me... thanks!

These pics are probably going to be too dark ....at the soundcheck for tonight's Not In Our Name benefit concert in Berkeley. A friend of mine got me in, he's associated with the band Fine Arts Militia who are opening the show tonight (headliner is Ani Di Franco). Fine Arts Militia is the new project from Chuck D of Public Enemy.

"Mista Chuck" had quite a bit of influence on the development of my critical thinking skills; he taught me at a young age that while it may be important to get angry, it's more important to get smart. I'm glad to see he's still working hard to make the world a better place. -- Dav via Hiptop

In England it is cricket. In Brazil it is futbal. In the USA it is bringing the tragedy of the commons to new unprecedented levels. In Panama it is accordian players (no kidding). But at Hiptop Nation the national obsession seems to be documenting the exquisite banality of the air travel industry. Here is my installment in the collective series..

First time I've left the house since Monday. Been stuck in a dark room coding java & oracle like a mad man 20 hours per day to meet a project deadline. Finally got it working an hour ago so I rode out here with my friend Estrella to the best Taco Bell on the planet (It's right on the beach). It's warm (70's?) and sunny. I might have to go get my surfboard and come back....

I don't know if these pics will come out, but there's a building here with a sign that says "warning pumps may start at any time." I'd never noticed the sign before, but just now these big iron portals just opened up and started pouring a huge flood of water out that cascaded through the sand to the beach. At the Bike Rodeo at Ace Auto Salvage in the Garment District. A rootin' tootin' event with heavily welded chain-driven wheeled contraptions as bizarre and threatening as Tetsuo: The Iron Man and a lineup of junkyard bands sending tunes echoing through the stacks of automobiles and twisted salvaged metal.
