My good friend Geoff got hitched today, and other then a little rain early in the day, things went off pretty nicely.

Apparently we didn't buy him enough jagerbombs the night before @ the bachelor party.

So on snl tonight jude law intros ashley simpson . Her band starts playing pieces of me, then during the intro you her ashley singing the vocals.....without moving her mouth. Busted. Bigtime. So at the end of the show ashley comes out, and jude law's like "ladies and gentlemen, what can I say? Live tv!" So ashley say's "exactly, I feel so bad, my band started playing the wrong song, and I didn't know what to do so I thought I'd do a ho-down, I'm sorry, live tv! things happen, but I'm standing next to jude law."

So the band plays the wrong song, but some how we heard her singing the correct lyrics, to the wrong song? How does that happen?

LIP SYNCING.

BUSTED.

Notice in the pics, the song starts, she realises that the vocal track is 1/2 a verse early, she does a little dance, shrugs, then walks off stage, leaving the band to continue playing the song (by this time the vocals were turned off) so there was about 30 seconds of instrumental "pieces of you"

You can see one guitar player look at the other one with the "oh shit" look, but he can't completely acknowledge the screw up, so they have a little nod and keep playing.

Funniest part of SNL all night.

Played week 2/8 of the Jack Daniel's poker challenge, as you may remember I took 2nd of 45-50 players and this week I finished 9th out of over 100.

I made it to the final table as a short stack, got 99 and went allin hoping to steal the blinds or get called for a 50/50 race.

Someone with q10 called, and I was safe until the river when a 10 hit.

Oh well, to be successful you need to be good and lucky.

I'll try again next week

So far out of 145 people, I've outplayed 135 of them, so I'm feeling quite good about my play.

The bar went nuts when the sox hit that grand slam, lots of hatred of the yankees around here. Astros/cards game 7 out to be good as well.

Nothing like baseball in 40 degree weather...

This has to be the most hilarious prime-time news show I've ever seen. They invited Jon Stewart onto CNN's Crossfire, I guess thinking he'd would provide some light entertainment, but he spent the entire show telling them they were a crappy show filled with political hacks. (Which is true.) They got a little bit irritated.
