They open the doors @ 11:30, cards fly @ noon and you get $5 in chips free for being there when they open and starting a table. I finished the day $5 up. After 4 hours. But I had a great time. Florida has stupid laws so the max bet in any poker game is always $2, So the only games are $1/2 limit and $2/2 limit. Most places have single table no limit tourneys that pay 1-2 or 3 spots and are $45-135 to buyin. I played a $65 single table, that paid $255, $155 and $100. We were 4 handed, and I'm on the button, blinds are 300-600 (started with 1500 chips). The chip leader, under the gun raises to 1200. I look down at AKs. I go all in for 2500. The blinds fold. There's 4200 in the pot and the chip leader is facing a 1300 call. He debates for 2 mins, then calls, and shows A6o. A 6 on the flop and no help after and I'm bubbled. The remaining players end up chopping 3 ways, $170 each....suck. Anyways, we're now at the rascal house, a diner my dad went to as a child with his parents in the early 60. It looks like nothing has changed. Besides the flat panel registers. Tommorow is more beach / pool action. Such a rough life. --Chris Falco CDF12345 on Skype |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I bought Sirius stock and a Sirius satelite radio unit today. A starmate plug and play unit for $99 and a $50 rebate. Then I got the home kit for $39.99 but at radioshack, since I bought the radio + homekit together I got $25 off. So the whole thing was $114.99 and when I pay for 6 months of service ($74.99) I get the $50 rebate, not too bad. Good songs so far, garbage, weezer, stereo mcs from the hackers soundtrack =) etc... Let me explain why I took sirius over XM. 1.) Clear channel owns a big part of XM. They are the ones who fucked up radio in the first place. 2.) Sirius signed Adam Curry to do a 4 hour podcast show daily. I like progressive thinking and a big company supporting podcasting is ++ 3.) Subscribers can stream all 100+ stations online for free. 4.) Every NFL game. Wow. 5.) Commercial free. 6.) Uncensored. 7.) Howard Stern in january 2006. Now I don't listen to stern, but the fact that it's free rocks. Especially since XM charges extra for the comparable opie&anthony show. Sirius doesn't nickel and dime it's subscribers. 8.) CNBC channel means I can listen to jim cramer's Mad Money in my car. w00t. 9.) I saw sirius's CEO on mad money and I like the directiong he's taking the company. 10.) You can get a lifetime subscription (a la tivo) for $499, xm doesn't offer this, although they probably should. So anyways, if your looking @ satelite radio, I would suggest sirius over XM. And yes I have listened to both. XM is looking to get their ass kicked by sirius, seriously. --Chris Falco CDF12345 on Skype |
