I saw this on the cover of the paper, so I flipped it open to page 23 to see what their ideas were. I get there, and there's just another note telling me to go to page 37. Wtf was the first note on the front page all about then? Why didn't it just say page 37 from the start? Why make me do that little pitstop inbetween? There wasn't any advertising on that page, just a pic of some dude hugging his fiance. And by the way, when I got to page 37? Someone had taken that page out of the paper, so it went 35, 39.

It reads "Why is Chicago cop Robert Frano parking in a spot reserved for the disabled in front of his home?" "Police department employees investigated for using spots for disabled."

That just feels like way too much insult for one man to bear. I mean yea, that's pretty shitty, but the front page of the newspaper? Jeez.

Lunch at Noodles & Company, Niles, IL
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayWent here for a late lunch yesterday after the interview. I had their version of pad thai with a ceaser salad and a seared chicken breast. Total, including pop, was 9.80. I should mention the pop was like $2 though. It's pretty reasonably priced, in my opinion, for such a well balanced meal.

I had never been to one of these places before, so was a bit confused at how it worked, but the nice dude behind the counter helped me out. Basically you have the choice between a small serving of noodles for like 4 bucks, a regular for about 5.50 or a "trio" for 7. The trio is a small portion of noodles, and comes with a side salad and a "protein", your choice between like some chicken or beef or whatever. So you can get yourself a massive mound of starch for 5.50, or for 1.50 more you can get a healthy serving size along with some protein and greens.

The serving size and ratios were pretty spot on and I felt good about myself after eating, not like I had just "eaten out", which usually gives me the "I'm a fatty" guilt cause retaurant portions tend to be massive.

But I broke that when I went to subway and had cookies. :X I had to wait for Jaku and Josh to get out of work so I could get a ride home, and they were an hour late. I was done eating, so I decided to go to Starbucks and get meself some caffiene, and when I got there, all of the seats were taken. So I stood around for a minute, thinking someone would go, but no; everyone had laptops and notepads and were obviously gonna be there for a while. So I crossed the street and bought some cookies and a pop and sat at Subway for like 1.5 hours til they finally got out and drove me home. Cookies were good. They were playing "the Lite" (shitty radio station) so that wasn't so good. And that was my day.

Oh and the interview went ok, but I don't think I got the job cause they wanted someone with experience.

Star War Market, Chicago, IL

Sara found it on the ground. We think it's a clip-on earring from the 80s that somehow found it's way through a timewarp.

Or, another theory is that it's a Star Trek insignia pin, but kinda gay-ed up a bit, for style and pizzazz.
