In the parking lot waiting for a friend so we can do lunch. It's been raining on and off all day and I've let it build up on the windshield before hitting the wipers.

Checking out Bubba Ho-Tep at the Angelika with Emrys and Robin. Based on the Bram Stoker Award nominee short story by acclaimed author Joe R. Lansdale, Bubba Ho-tep tells the "true" story of what really did become of Elvis Presley. We find Elvis(Bruce Campbell) as an elderly resident in an East Texas rest home, who switched identities with an Elvis impersonator years before his "death", then missed his chance to switch back. Elvis teams up with Jack(Ossie Davis), a fellow nursing home resident who thinks that he is actually President John F. Kennedy, and the two valiant old codgers sally forth to battle an evil Egyptian entity who has chosen their long-term care facility as his happy hunting grounds.

Randal Graves: Which did you like better? "Jedi" or "The Empire Strikes Back"? Dante Hicks: "Empire". Randal Graves: Blasphemy! Dante Hicks: "Empire" had the better ending. I mean, Luke gets his hand cut off, finds out Vader's his father, Han gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett. It ends on such a down note. I mean, that's what life is, a series of down endings. All "Jedi" had was a bunch of Muppets.

I picked up my copy of The Matrix Reloaded in response to Agent Smith's post.

I lost out by not calling "Shotgun" in time, so I get to sit in back of the Tacoma. Since it doesn't have a door like the club/quad/crew cabs do, I get to stay in the truck while Rich & Gareth get soda and chips.

The Punisher is one of the many films that's based off a Marvel comic currently in production in the Tampa, Florida area. The moive stars Thomas Jane as Frank Castle AKA The Punisher and John Travolta as the villain Howard Saint. If you liked Blade, the X-Men movies, and Spiderman and haven't seen the teaser on the beginning of other movies or on TV, then check out the trailer.
