Following Mr. Versatal's lead, I picked up the Radio Shack 3-Lens Magnifier that Mike Lee suggested. I've found that it works quite well, the only issue I have with it is nailing down the right amount of light on the subject, without putting a shadow on it. I'm sure I'll get better with practice.

The best slopes for speeding over the slick-packed white stuff has always been Frear Park in Troy. There were a dozen hills full of kids & adults riding inner tubes, Flexible Fliers, snowboards, and pieces of cardboard. Many were hitting the mogal-like humps trying to catch some air but most were crashing into one another and wiping out as they hit the jumps a breakneck speeds.

Can't wait to go back tomorrow!
