The Batman franchise gets a new restart from director Chris Nolan, who helmed Memento. It has more of a Batman: Year One feel to it where we see a young Bruce Wayne watch his millionaire parents as they are slain in front of his eyes, a trauma which leds him to become obsessed with revenge. He travels the world seeking the means to fight injustice and turn fear against those who prey on fearful.

(So, this one has been sitting in my Drafts folder for a long time now.)

I got a care package from Mr. Lee a while back consisting of a handful of cool items and a few surprises.

I got three Yellow Arrows, which I’ve yet to find a good place to use one but I have a few prime locations in mind.

Additionally, there were two brochures on Simplicity Media Lab at MIT and a collection of postcards from the Snowflake-A-Thon.

Today is Free Comic Book Day at your local comic book shop. Went to Earthworld Comics and picked up 7 titles out of about 10/12 that were available. Grabbed a Batman comic based of the new animated cartoon on The WB, along with a Spiderman, Star Wars, and a few kids ones for Alex.

Outside they they had 2 girls dressed as Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn. Decent costumes, I might add.

So swing on out and pick up some free comics and help support the comic community buy maybe pick up a graphic novel.

While visiting Kale in VA, I past by many 7-11s which is running a Star Wars Slurpee promotion. Its a Mt. Dew Pitch Black flavored drink with a cool 3D cup and Darth Vader lid.
