Holy cow, these are big! Pictured alongside the original Emaxx tires for comparison. These are 7.7" diameter tires, and are made of a really soft compound. I get a lot more traction here in the leaves, but the Emaxx still spins 'em.

A coupla problems though:

Since this radically changes my final drive ratio, its essentially turned my Emaxx into a one-speed machine. There just aint enough ooompf to get it to fly in 2nd. It acts as if it's really overgeared (which it is) and I don't want to stress the motors or the ESC. This is easily fixable with a new pinion and spur gear, but there's not many of those in Ottine. ;)

These things are heavy! So that, combined with the overgearing makes the truck a bit sluggish.

Since they are so wide, the steering servo has a hard time turning them. The stock servo is barely acceptable for the stock tires...and has a hell of a time with these fat meats.

So, they're coming off for the weekend until I can change the gearing out.
