New lantern stand

Just picked it up yesterday from Wal*Mart. Really nice for where the ground is too rocky for a stake type lantern hanger. The whole thing is collapsable and fits into the tiny bag pictured. All the rods are shock-corded like tent poles, so when you pull it out of the bag, it virtually assembles itself. Also comes with 3 stakes to anchor the base down. Cost was $15, a maybe a bit pricy, but it works really well and looks like it will last a long time.

It's very cool, but they shipped the wrong color base with it. We ordered a dark walnut base but got this one. They'll be shipping out the right base in a few weeks.

Got the "new york hot" wings. Not impressed. They say they only use "fresh jumbo" size wings...I think not. They also claim to have the best wings in upstate sc for the past 15 years, I think not. Their blue cheese dressing was extremely good tho.

The wings came and they weren't jumbo. They really weren't hot either. I'd rate them as a mild...I didn't even finish a beer with my 1# order. I say skip this joint.

Good stuff. Rich, heavy bodied ale. Slightly sweet, but with a good hop finish that keeps the sweetness from building up. Git you some.
