Tim lives right on the route and had a huge party. A few highlights:

* Getting people in the parade to say the word "Meow."

* The brigade of kids armed to the teeth with water guns, buckets and baloons attacking and soaking the parade once they reached 4th Street.

* Tossing a huge water baloon at the KDWB vehicle. They are our local Clear Channel pop station. I aimed for the windshield but instead it flew within inches of the amplified speakers on the roof. I was scolded.

* Shaking US Congressman Mark Kennedy's hand while pouring a bottle of cold water all over his nice pants.

After having dinner with Garrett, his girlfriend Sarah, his mother Diane, his sister Theresa and his uncle Rick, we decided to break out the sparks and play Katamari. I mistakenly deleted all of the dinner photos.

So of course, due to any storm, the power goes out at Go East. Got to see some incredible lightning from here though. One strike was incredibly vivid and was zapping something on the ground for quite a long time. An enjoyable force of sound blasted over less than a second later and shook everything.

I safely shut down all of our servers, and the UPS units have some battery to spare to keep a couple routers running. Having my headlamp helps quite a bit in the dark server room. Now I get to just wait for power to come back on.

For some reason in the parking lot, a purple vehicle showed up and a guy inside was wacking off. Quite strange. His plate was MN JFW559. I called the police and now I am watching the cops chase him. Fun times.

Went to a geocaching event at Lilydale Brickyard. I arrived late and the instructions I got were not clear as to where to go once I found the parking coordinates. It was located along the bottom of the bank of the Mississippi River in Saint Paul. I wondered around a bit and noticed a storm coming in. Another geocacher showed up more lost than I was and we went into his truck and watched the heavy storm roll in. We then watched the soaked geocachers roll in.

Bill, who had just left, sent me an instant message from his car saying "Get the Mini out - Water Bad - Road Flooded." He was right, and I quickly got out before it could get worse.

Dave Lee and I both live within walking distance of the Riverview Theater and decided to see the British film Layer Cake which was showing tonight. Show was $3. The film was interesting enough. The unnamed lead character played by Daniel Craig is a generally well mannered "Businessman," aka drug dealer that gets involved with a problem that gets deeper and more complicated (and bloody) as it goes on. A constant guessing game of who will outsmart who. After a while it wasn't hard to guess. With every win there was a loss. At the end, it wasn't a guess as to what would happen anymore, it was more of a guess as to how it would be done. And it surprised me a bit. I said to myself, "oh."

Not uncommon for me to have my afterbar experience behind the piano. I have been working on Gonzales' Gogol for a few days and my roommates have not complained yet. On his site you can download a copy of the music and hear his recording of the piece yourself. My interpretation does not sound as nice.
