Out seeing the Minnesota RollerGirls at Roy Wilkins Auditorium in Saint Paul where you get penalties for spanking and you get spankings for penalties. Very strangely saw a number of people I went to high school with and also saw Jill Riley from The Current. Mason Jennings was also in the crowd.

My boss is a ref named Rat Bastard and he owned everybody.

I got a new screw added today in my car. Right in the tire.

My wardrobe is now essentially a daily walking billboard for the quality illustration and design of hiptop Nation blogger Matt Gambrell. Got two new awesome shirts today and a bonus of two stickers. I put one sticker my tool box and another on my microwave right under a Sparks sticker. It's apparently from the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Deptartment. It rocks. Roommate Allen stared at it and was confused. That rocked too.

Out with Joe and Vanessa. This is the absolute worst place I have been to this autumn. Service was horribly slow. Beer tasted like shit, food was undercooked and getting anyone's attention here took a lot of effort. We waited for over 20 minutes to see if we could get our bill to leave. The other people at this bar were douchebags. Very annoying. Joe and I seriously considered dining and dashing for our first time in our lives but Vanessa kept us in line. Not like anyone would have noticed as there was zero waitstaff.

I didn't like the flies on my food either.

Might be worse than Divinci's Pizza. Wish I had the oppertunity to compare. Wait, no I don't.

I am in a brief photo shoot for Go East's holiday card. The card will be thin and fold out long to show a very long sled with all 40 employees on it. I snuck a few photos with a color hiptop in them. Honestly, if I was riding on a sled with all my coworkers, I'd be moblogging it.

Their online renewal has been down for months due to weak security so I had to physically go to a deputy registrar and pay in cash. For my Mini in Minnesota it's $103.50 this year.
Mystery Blimp in Minneapolis

For the last few days there has been an a very bright UFO over Minneapolis. Sometimes it takes a trip over to Saint Paul. I first noticed it last night on my way home on I-94. It took quite a long time to figure out what it was: a blimp that says "Enough is Enough" on one side and "Had it up to here?" on the other.

There's a good thread about it at MNspeak.com where nobody seems to be able to figure out what it is about. A report by WCCO, our local CBS affiliate, didn't add much more information about it but the reporter did get a ride in it. Good for them. The notable part of the story for me was that this is apparently going to go on for one month. Either way, nobody in the city seems to know what the hell this thing is other than that we are being eaten by a viral marketing campaign of some sort.

My guess? A month from a few days ago when the blimp started flying puts us to election day. Peter McLaughlin, who is running for Minneapolis Mayor happens to use the exact same typeface and colors on all of his stuff. He isn't doing terribly well against incumbent R.T. Rybak and needs a new curveball. Seems mostly logical to me, but it doesn't sound like it would be a good campaign tactic unless he can explain what we are having "enough" of. It also doesn't explain why it went over Saint Paul for the Minnesota Wild season opener as he's not running for Saint Paul mayor. It would be horribly expensive as well. Peter McLaughlin would be named the "Blimp Mayor" for the rest of his life. I hope I am wrong. Although it is weak, it's my best guess so far.

On my way home from Gull Lake, stopped at Keith's Kettle Family Restaurant in Clearwater because I thought the sign was funny. I didn't see Keith here but the service was fast and friendly. Good food as well.

Out with Bill for a late breakfast after hiding some caches for the event tomorrow. Reminds me of a place I went to in Marietta, GA. ;-)
