All over but the waiting.
Well, it was fun. I'm actually quite pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed the experience of traveling the ocean with 2000 strangers. Now I have 6 hours in the Miami airport, although you won't hear about that until the waiting is over since I cannot get a signal in Miami International.

Thanks for the support of everyone reading this. :) --regan
I am not a sailor.

We are currently booking it across 12 foot waves at 17.6 knots, and my stomach is protesting, despite how large this ship is. We've still got almost 100 nautical miles more of this before we arrive in Miami. The nice thing about having a corner cabin: one fewer next door neighbor. The bad thing about having a corner cabin: in weather like this, folks walking down the corridor start careening into your cabin. *whimpers quietly*

I think I'm going to head to the casino and see if I can take my mind off it. There's a juggler with a midnight show I want to catch.

Oh, and a few random photos: the ship docked in Miami, some Hemingway kitties (check out the extra claw on the one), a chocolate reef from the buffet, and one of the two waterfall fountains in the Windjammer Cafe. --regan
Simone de Bouvier

Hemingway House
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayI'm hanging out on a secluded bench by the pool at the Hemingway House. It's gorgeous, and you can definitely see how it'd be conducive to writing. Or napping, as the many-toed cats think. --regan
*sigh*
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayWe just spent the last hour waiting for some chick from deck 9 to figure out that she hadn't been through Customs. I was waiting for them to start paging her in fictional languages like Elvish.

While I avoid the backlog leaving the ship, here's an image from the midnight chocolate buffet. --regan
It should be relatively obvious...
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any way...from the fact that a bunch of messages just went through, but we've docked in Key West. Been through customs and now just waiting for the rest of the passemgers to get through so we can hit land.

It's really beautiful here; I can see how Laura got sucked in, even from the distance of the ship. --regan
Smallest. Room. Ever.
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayI was amused this morning to find out that the shower curtain was sealed on one side. Come to find out (not the hard way, fortunately), that's so you don't accidentally flood your closet.

Um...
I'm eating a pizza in the Mast bar, and a Quaker just walked by me. Shouldn't she be rowing? --regan
Arrived in Nassau
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayGot up this morning to watch the sunrise up on deck (shouldn't have bothered -- it's overcast), and the first thing I noticed was that I'd gotten my sea legs! The boat wasn't rocking! Then I also noticed we didn't seem to be getting closer to the shoreline. Cause we weren't moving. *sigh*
