A shot of where I spent most of 1986 and 1987: the theater section of Lake Braddock Secondary School. Mom and I went to catch my cousin, Hannah, in Oklahoma. I ended up having two additional cousins in attendance, Deb, Hannah's mom, and Joe, plus as an added bonus I got to see my aunt (Deb's mom -- there will be a quiz later), Peggy.
Crazy Coworkers

Quote from a friend who begins his second week of jury duty today: Somewhere a court reporter struggles to capture my reaction - a looooong, winsome, forlorn note sounding like R2D2.

In other news, anybody got a spam blocker on their tmail account that they like? I'm tired of these "deseases."

It's a bad sign when the best light in your house is the bathroom. Maybe that explains the profusion of toilet shoes amongst HNers. Anyhow, decided to make myself a prettifying skirt for Valentine's Day so I'll officially have no excuse to be bummed. Front back and a close-up of the gorgeous fabric that inspired the draping.
Mmm.

Tim Duncan may be struggling to best the Pacers right now, but he managed to visit a fan during a timeout. He's much shorter in person. (Okay, it's really Carson with daddy Wade and mommy Tricia, dropping by with a Valentine's thank you from the little gentleman for his pinata.)

The Divas got together to congratulate one of our own with a Spurs-themed baby shower. We missed Emily and Jean, but we each ate some chocolate for them. I was juuuust finishing the hem on Tricia's maternity jersey (2 and 3) when Catherine showed up. I'm lucky we're a fashionably late crowd.

The chocolate fondue fountain went over like gangbusters (thanks, Deb!), and Nadlers custom-made "Spurs Baby" cookies for the occasion. Carol and Tricia enjoyed the food (6), and Catherine tried dunking one of the cookies in the fountain as Amy looked on (7).

Later we gathered in my tiny living room to watch the game (Pam sits on the hearth and chats with Amy, 8), and Tricia opened her gifts after the Spurs won (9).

The diaper cake turned out much better than I expected. Not only did it work as a centerpiece, but now Tricia and Wade will have 120 diapers to start them off. ;)

Now I'm gonna wash the fondue fountain and call it a night.
Grackles

The grackles get kinda weird this time of year. They show up en masse and spread out perfectly evenly in formation along power lines and valances. It's creepy. And loud.
Good news!
Not only does the workaround that Mike posted work, but also you can now send pictures you didn't take on your Sidekick to HN by using Picture Transfer to get them into your gallery! Bonus.
