The first thought I had when I read Mike's post was "Wasn't DiFazio Laverne's last name on Laverne and Shirley?" (For the curious, it was DeFazio.) That's grey matter I could be using for something valuable, such as how to spell lavender, which I have a blind spot for. Really glad Cianna made it through okay. After the electrode application ordeal, I was in fear of the removal process. But I promise there will be no well wishes from my cat this time. ;) |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Just spent the last 2.5 hours grooming Carol's horses at Amy's new place. Would you believe Buddy, the guy in the first shot, had dreadlocks when I got there? And Pie (second picture), whom I had heard was a handful, was a perfect gentleman the whole time I was there. I ended up more attached to Pie, but it was Buddy who whinnied a little goodbye when I left. The place is up in Boerne, and it's gorgeous. Got a shot of Amy showing off the kitchen cabinets that were such a pain (we got updates on the latest fiasco almost daily at work), but they were definitely worth the wait. Plus, check out the cool one-of-a-kind banister that they had put in. When you sit on the stairs, it's like you're in an iron jungle. |

Although I never went to a basketball game there, I'm psyched that the school where I got my Master's degree is in the Final Four. I'm even more psyched that they get to play against the school which is the biggest rival of the place I got my undergrad degree. The bad news (that it's hard to be sad about) is that I'll miss most of the game because I'll be at the Spurs game that night. College football fandom is so much simpler. 12 games (or 14 if it goes well). Almost always on a Saturday. The Spurs had 16 games in March alone. I can't possibly add college basketball to my list of obsessions. I don't have enough time. |

10 of my fav, garlic parmesan. I blame Alan. In other news, you ever have one of those days where you find it hard to hold a thought? I walked out of the house, completely neglecting any makeup, which was a first step typical of the rest of the day so far. I keep going in places and buying lots of stuff, none of which is actually what I went in for. I wrote FOCUS on the top of my shopping list. In the next store I'll probably end up in in the camera section as a result. |

Between the screen refresh rate lines, I have to point out that one of my best friends made during The AOL Days is nominated for Da Big Hugo Award (aka Best Novel) for his first published novel, Old Man's War. To my HN buddies, if you want a copy and don't have the dinero to purchase it, give me a heads-up. I occasionally buy a passel of them and gift them out, and now that it's out in trade paperback, that's more reasonable. |
