For anybody curious, this is what the 50 boxes waypoint looks like. I fully intended to hit this Friday evening, but I tend to estimate badly on moving. You can ask my friends. On the plus side, it's helping that I still haven't unpacked some of the boxes from last time (photo 2 with evidence of aforementioned friends) and that Sug's flattening out the box lids for me. Mew.

This remains my favorite spot in San Antonio. Note to self: charge battery before venturing forth with camcorder.

Spent a wonderful Saturday evening at Tim and Amy's place out in Pipe Creek. Got to meet a great couple, too -- Nathan and Nicole. Tim's a fellow lover of gadgets and the reason I have the Garmin (not so that I can find their place, since according to the Garmin's maps I'm just a dot in a big vast emptiness when I get out there -- possibly a metaphysical commentary). Check out the treepod setup in shot 3. I don't know if I could go to work if I got up each morning and saw that vista, but I imagine being able to pay the mortgage is incentive enough. And an obligatory shot of Jeepers, da stowaway cat.
Ocean Water... closer and yet farther away
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayI'd like to point out that in a little over two weeks from now my closest Sonic will not be 1/2 a mile away (as it is now), but in fact two states (and 93 miles) away in Bridgeville, Delaware. *whimpers quietly*

Made a set of blankets for Kendra's poms, complete with embroidery patterns courtesy of Sublime Stitchery (not entirely perfect, but the dogs won't care). My new favorite thing is this measuring/masking tape I got from The Museum of Useful Things. Now Kendra and I are going to try to convince a bar full of testosterone-laden males that they'd rather be watching Project Runway. Wish us luck.

Belated posting of Pam's new Prius which she finally got on Friday. Susan, Ashley and Pam have a chuckle at the body in the trunk (okay... I can't remember what we were laughing about), and a couple of beauty shots of da car and da owner. ;)

Laura (left in first photo), Tricia (right in first photo), and Heather (Houston on a family emergency in first photo) hostessed a going away party for me at Flying Saucer Friday night. It was a lot of fun. Got to see all sorts of folks from throughout my time down here, including (l to r, second photo) Sandra, Rick, Ashley, Carolyn; Laura with Tricia and Wade over her shoulder (third photo) tactfully avoiding product placement; and Tim and Amy (fourth photo). Follow it up with a masterful shot of Steve with me, Tim, and Amy in the foreground (courtesy of Tim's long arms). Not pictured are Scott, Dean and new wife of three months whose name I've managed to forget, Joel, Jenny, Pam and Susan. There were even balloons, and Laura put together a "Top Ten Reasons Regan Will Be Missed" ala David Letterman. My favorites are "Losing USAA record holder for greatest number of simultaneous I'M sessions" and "Who will remind us of... everyone's second cousin's boyfriend's birthday?" Love you guys.
Happy Birthday

I would like to point out...

Had the work going away lunch at Malik's up off 1604 and Bandera. The only redeeming factor of the event was the company. Service was horrible. I didn't get my food until more than an hour after we arrived, got it to go, and found out it wasn't even the right thing when I got back here. *rolls eyes* But the company! The company was great. The first shot is Andrea, Melinda, Tricia, Wade, Ashley, [Kendra, Jennifer, Yvette, Karen, Cindy, Pam, Amy,] Heather, Alan, Gina, Byron, and Kathy. The kids' table housed Tim, Amy, Jaime, Tonya, and Kathy. *warm fuzzies*
