Why is it that you need to "preheat" the oven when baking something? Wouldn't the food cook just the same while waiting for the oven to heat up and be done that much faster? I'm confused.

Now I remember why it sat in the cupboard for so long though. It's kinda like when I go to KFC.....as soon as I'm done eating their chicken I remember why it had been a year since I was there last.

I have a cold and my daughter is sick so grocery shopping is tough to do. I feel like its almost a goal to wipe out all the food in the house and then restock with all new food.
