Tonight's my first night in a few months at Victor's Information Architecture Salon. We have a record turnout of 16 people here at Carolyn's apartment. Everyone schmoozed for a while over snacks and drinks and then our guest speaker started her presentation.

Kathryn Brown, Director of Information Strategy at Columbia University Digital Knowledge Ventures, is the guest speaker on applying topic maps to a database of academic discourse.

This is pretty cutting edge stuff, especially for those who are working in the library science discipline.
