The One the Judges Liked Best: Congrats to all the winners, and thanks to all the players for some great and highly entertaining scavenging. Sorry for the delay in judging - a couple of judges got a little busy. In the end I opted to tally up what I had today from the other judges. So, the format this year turned out to be a bit controversial - some liked it and some didn't like it so much. Or at all. That is, some despised it. So what's on deck for next year? Assuming there is a hunt (I'd like there to be but who knows what is going to be happening next October), I will most likely change the format again - either to a more "classic" scavenger hunt style, or something new entirely. I am also considering letting folks form their own teams, which was a big request this year. I will definitely start the team-making process earlier to deal with dropouts - the much higher dropout rate this year combined with some technical issues definitely caught me off guard. Finally, I will impose stricter deadlines and penalties on the judges :) Once again, thanks to all who participated, and I hope to see you all again next year. As for prizes, let's start with bragging rights for now - I am working on some more concrete prizes right now. - mikepop |
