First Blooms

TNR Postponed
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayWith talk of sleet tonight, I made the executive decision to cancel the planned trapping. Ironically all four of the regulars ended up braving the cold rain, but Sundae never ventured out of the shelter of her bush. Hope I made the right decision. Hopefully this won't count as a strike against me at Kincheloe, because I plan to try again the next appointment I can get. *crosses fingers*

Met Norajill and her long-time friend Kathy downtown at Zaytinya tonight. None of us had been there before, but Kathy and I are big Jaleo fans. This is its Greek sister restaurant. Swanky, young crowd. And I do mean crowd. But we got to catch up. Was fun. And tasty.
The Spicy Baconator Deserves a Raise
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayOf at least $4.89. I was suckered into trying one because of my need to say the word "baconator." I asked the manager what came on it, and he said, and I quote, "Uhhhh." Unfortunately, my Spicy Baconator wasn't too spicy since they forgot to use pepper jack. Official review: it wasn't bad. I suspect it would have been better made as intended. Ah well.
My Ferals
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayLet me show you them. I've made a page on my site dedicated to the little feral colony I'm taking care of. It talks a little about feral cats and what trap-neuter-return is, introduces each of the cats individually and has a little donation section if you're so inclined. I'm planning to TNR them the first week of April. Wish me luck!

Took some of my swap goodies to work today to share. Sooooo cute.
Happy Birthday, Snookums
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayWe haven't hit our first anniversary together yet, but Disney's celebrating her fifth birthday in a big way. Rare to have a birthdate for a rescue, so we're celebrating that, too. My folks came over with treats and toys, and I got the princess a Scratch Lounge. That I may never see her out of again.
For the San Antonio friends...
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayCheck it. I am no longer the queen of birthdays. Jen made this huge Pocky cake for Andrea's birthday, and it's Charm City Cakes quality. Infreakincredible.
Feral Update
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any wayThere aren't any cats in this picture, so don't strain your eyes to find them. Came by yesterday and gained two more ferals, in addition to my normal pair. There were several dozen vultures circling the forest behind the location, so my guess is that the new two got scared from their normal spot by whatever died. Yesterday, three. Today, zero. Ferals are such a perfect example of cattitude. "We'll do what we want, thankyouverymuch. Oh, and bring more kibble. kthxbye."
Potomac Mills Security
this picture is owned by the submitter. contact submitter for permission before using it in any waySo security at Potomac Mills rides segways. Got to be a fun perk of the job. I'm surprised since the mall seems to have had a steady decline since being the first Mills property in the area some 22 years ago (now I feel old).
